Reflecting on this year’s harvest brings a sense of accomplishment. Cold mornings gradually gave way to warm days as we worked our way up the slopes of Ribeira Sacra, carrying baskets of grapes. The vineyards, scattered in small plots around the mountains, required meticulous planning and coordination to ensure the grapes were transported to the winery in the correct order. The unpredictable weather meant we always had to be prepared for sudden changes, which added an extra layer of complexity to our work.
Managing a large team during the harvest presented its own set of challenges, but we successfully harvested the grapes in excellent conditions. Now, as we look forward to the next wines, we can’t help but feel a sense of pride and satisfaction with what we have achieved. The fruits of our labor will soon be transformed into excellent wines, a testament to the hard work and dedication that went into this year’s harvest.
