One of the best-selling wines from the winery is ALGUEIRA SERRADELO, made entirely with the native Brancellao variety. The grapes come from plots with different orientations, and the wine is fermented in stainless steel with short post-fermentation macerations. It is then aged for over 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters. Brancellao produces wines with a deep cherry color and hints of orange around the edges, reflecting its aging. Initially, the wine exhibits the rustic character of the variety, followed by aromas of ripe acidic fruits (such as red plum) and balsamic notes (like black tea and laurel), with a hint of marc. The acidity is prominent on the first sip, followed by a full-bodied and round mouthfeel, culminating in a tannic finish that showcases the strength and personality of the variety. The aftertaste reveals hints of chocolate.
