Similar to ALGUEIRA AMARAL, our ALGUEIRA CASTAGAIA is created from the individual production of the grape varieties found in ALGUEIRA FINCAS. In this process, the whole Sousón grape bunches are foot-crushed and fermented with the skins. The wine is then aged for around 18 months in a combination of chestnut and French oak barrels, ranging in size from 225 to 300 liters.
