ALGUEIRA PIZARRA may be one of the most recognized references in the history of the winery. The grapes come exclusively from our Carballocobo property, which gives us a constant production, with the peculiarities of the vintage. The whole clusters without destemming are crushed with our feet in trunks of French oak, subjecting them to a pre-fermentative cold maceration before fermenting with an exhaustive temperature control. After a long post-fermentative maceration of more than 30 days, the wine sleeps in French oak barrels and foudres between 12-18 months. Already in the glass it shows an intense cherry red color, medium-high layer, with a very intense nose and the complexity of the interesting red fruit, the balsamic of the terroir (green coffee and chocolates) and the minerality that gives its name to the wine. The attack on the palate is fresh and its pace is intense, structured, with a crunchy, complex and warm tannins. With long postguards and a retronasal that evokes the mineral character of the plot and its elaboration with scratch.
